- «Бюро́» — (франц. bureau, нем. büro от лат. burra) — письменный стол с выдвижной крышкой, полками и ящиками для бумаги.
- Изначально название телячьей кожи, которой обтягивали выдвижную доску конторки, затем — особый тип мебели, появившийся во Франции в середине XVII века. Как правило, тонкой кожей часто бывает обита откидывающаяся часть изнутри.
